A seminar titled “Türkiye’s Perspective on Space Technologies” will be delivered by Mehmet Nefes, Director of the TÜBİTAK Space Technologies Research Institute, on 13 May 2026 at 15:00 in the UHUZAM Conference Hall.

The seminar will address the historical development of satellite technologies in Türkiye and around the world, as well as the current technological level reached in this field, from an academic perspective. Within this framework, Türkiye’s infrastructure, technological capabilities, and operational competencies in the fields of communication and Earth observation satellites will be evaluated. In addition, Türkiye’s future vision in space will be discussed with reference to the Lunar Mission, critical technological requirements, national capacity-building objectives, and potential opportunities for collaboration between industry and academia.
