The Informatics Institute is an academic unit of Istanbul Technical University built upon the university’s strong scientific heritage and engineering tradition. The Institute conducts graduate-level education and advanced research aimed at developing, implementing, and transforming information-, data-, and computation-driven technologies into societal benefit.
With expertise ranging from information technologies and high-performance computing infrastructures to physics- and data-driven modeling and AI-enabled software systems, the Institute provides a comprehensive environment that enables the development of end-to-end solutions. Our Mission
The mission of the Informatics Institute of Istanbul Technical University is to provide an interdisciplinary academic environment that supports advanced education, original research, and the development of innovative solutions across all application domains of information and communication technologies, with a strong emphasis on computational science and engineering approaches.
